Dedication of the Heidi Shaw Home/ April 2006
The Heidi Shaw
home at 600 Lind was our 9th home!
The IBEW local 34 donated all the electrical work and Crescent
Electrical- Juno Lighting-General Electric- 3M- Leviton- Millbank-
Thomas & Betts supplied the materials. Richard Jones coordinated
the project.

pre-built walls over from Taylorville Correctional Center.
The inmates

home along side youth from his church!
Dave Rakers, Vice President First Bankers Trust, presents a check for $15,000.00 to be used on the
8th street home to be started in September 2006! Habitat is proud to partner
with First Bankers Trust!

Mayor John Spring attended, representing the City of Quincy's partnership
with Quincy Area Habitat For Humanity.
Under Mayor Chuck Scholz, many
lots were donated to Habitat, including the property at 630 Lind!

Many volunteers and friends of Heidi's celebrate this long awaited
day!!!

Heidi and her daughter, worked 250 hours of "sweat equity " on
her home, and will pay a 20 year, interest free no profit, mortgage.
That payment will be used on materials for the next home!
