Thrivent Builds/ Habitat house going up in Golden, IL

There will be a ceremony this Sunday, October 29th, at 2:00pm.
Everyone is invited to attend and tour the home and have refreshments!

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International have joined together to create Thrivent Builds, a four-year $100 million program designed to help provide "hands up" to people who lack decent shelter. Approximately 10 homes will be built in each Thrivent Financial region each year, beginning in 2006.  The Adams County Habitat for Humanity Affiliate, the local Thrivent Chapter, and area Lutheran Churches have made an application, and the application has been accepted, to build a home in rural Adams County.  The home will be built in Golden for Bob and Shelia Keltz and their two children Bobby and Nicole.  Thrivent Builds is funding 70% of the cost of the home, with Habitat funding 20%, and 10% to be raised locally.
